Our project has now entered the final week of fundraising! So far, we have raised nearly half of our $2,000 goal: $850. To all of our donors, we would like to say thank you! To anyone reading that is considering making a gift, the NMUN team would appreciate it greatly! This is an easy way to help our members attend a conference that can be a life-changing experience.
A note on the team's progress since our last update:
Two weeks ago, we worked on resolution writing, helping more experienced members refresh their skills and giving new members a chance to get acquainted with one of the more important skills needed to succeed in Model UN.
Last week, we held a simulation of the Third General Assembly, which focuses on humanitarian causes, on the famine in South Sudan. Each student chose their own Member State and quickly worked to craft solutions to this crisis.
Additionally, our position papers for each committee have been submitted to the conference, so now each delegate will focus on conducting more research on Serbia and deciding which topics they would like to discuss during committee and what solutions they will present.
We have just about a month to go, and preparations have been going smoothly! Thank you for following along with the journey!
